if you feel overwhelmed during the moon cycles.

I am having a little trouble discerning something wrong with me. Lately, I've been unable to sleep well, and at times, looking at certain things I enjoyed with a beloved friend who is no longer here makes my breath feel painful. At times, I feel like I could just cry all night, and other times I feel like I can't feel anything at all.

My friend was free to go home, and it is a happy thing, is it not? Why can't I stop being sad?

When I go back to my world, I'm going to be trapped in a situation that will hurt me and the people I care about. I know it's probably not the best way to handle it, but I've been trying not to think about it at all while I'm here, since it's not like I can get any closure.

Most of the time I can avoid the subject, but every time I think about it, it's like I'm back there again. I guess I want to be able to separate myself from it somehow instead of having a physical reaction every time.
