HELLO EVERYONE!!!

i have failed to introduce myself properly to the masses and i must say this is VERY SHAMEFUL OF ME (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) my name is suoh tamaki and it's a pleasure to acquaint myself with whoever is here to read this.

to cut to the chase, i have taken quite an economic downgrade being here, and this is certainly a cultural shift for me...and the setting is a sci-fi one, to boot! i would like to take advantage of the situation to the best of my ability and go about making a fun list of ❤ FUN ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMON FOLK ❤ i'd like to partake in.

common things i would like to do while here:

▶ wait in an impossibly long line
▶ become gainfully employed (though nothing too grueling or isolated, thank you)
▶ try out various versions of the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich
▶ play a recorder
▶ take some form of public transit

if you can help me in any of these endeavors i would be MUCH OBLIGED or if perhaps you would like to make one of these a group activity...the more the merrier!! ( ˘⌣˘)♡(˘⌣˘ )

AS AN ASIDE: i have decided i will be committing myself to a food sampling project involving common tea drinks. here is a little sample of one:

MANGO DRINK: perhaps the worst thing i have tasted in a long time. i was under the impression this was a tea drink. it is not tea.

PROS: the colour is nice, but not one i would consumer on the regular. there is certainly a sweetness to it, but my teeth felt awful after consumption.

CONS: everything else. to the common folk reading this, this is not what a mango tastes like <(￣ ﹌ ￣)> once i receive regular funds, i will buy mangos for you to try if you have never. i am TRULY SADDENED that a company has tricked you into believing this is a similar taste in any regard.

What is a mango?

it's a part of every day life! there's a purpose at the end of the line -- like a place to pay for your groceries, or to meet an author and receive a signature. these things aren't speedy processes! and thus they queue up to wait their turn.

a mango is a fruit. even with my talent for words, i don't know that i could replicate the taste to you. please tell me your address so i may send you a mango as soon as i can. otherwise, my heart may break knowing you have never enjoyed such a wonderful fruit!

Trust me, it's not the most interesting experience.

Pretty long sometimes. They were for pretty normal stuff. To buy groceries, to go to the movies...have you never seen one of those either? Because that would be a tragedy that needs to be amended.

the more the merrier for all the activities!! especially if we both come from a similar situation. it's a good idea to get as acclimated as possible before we somehow accumulate more wealth.

Hello, Suoh Tamaki! I am Titus Alexius. I think your goals are really wonderful and that you will most certainly have a lot of fun here! (I myself had also never done any of those things until I arrived here, though I have now experienced all of them, except for the recorder one) (Although I have made many recordings of myself, but I believe your phrasing indicates that is not the same pastime?)

Is it possible you were accidentally sold a defective version of that mango drink? Because I have had it before, and it was incredibly delicious! (Though you are correct that it does not taste much like an actual mango)

perhaps it is a question of palette! i am sure there are many people who find it delicious, or else it would no sell or be produced anymore...but i assumed the consumer was one who was unaware of the mango taste.

You know, perhaps it is bold of me to suggest it, but might it be worth reconsidering your perspective? That is, of course, you were not wrong to expect that a "mango" drink would taste like a mango, nor were you wrong to find its actual flavor unpleasant. However, does it truly follow that the drink itself is wrong, or that those who like it are benighted? In this world, there are countless flavors... some reminiscent of one another, some totally distinct, some that no doubt still wait to be discovered. To be honest, I think it is a little bit wonderful that someone could start from an inspiration like "mango" and create something so wildly original. That is the miracle of human innovation!

Anyway, I like the ones I have tried. "Grape drink" is marvelous (and marvelously purple).

yes though i am aware that this verbiage might be antiquated. think more along the lines of 'the working class' perhaps ?

when it comes to employment, i'm looking for anything! almost any job, i think i can put my own spin on it and accomplish it through my own unique skillset.
