I didn't kill anyone and I'm not interested in doing so.

[Despite the fact that killing has more or less been his job for the better part of his life he's never enjoyed it, and he certainly doesn't plan on drawing that sort of attention to himself here if he can help it.]

[Really the reason Faust asked in the first place is more depressing than anything. And that's also why he's not really interested in delving into the topic too deeply with anyone; it isn't their business and he doesn't want pity or sympathy.]
