[ It might have taken a couple of beers to muster the courage to post to the network, if the level 3 bar scene behind him is any indication. There's the steam and hiss of frying noodles, the glow of signs advertising other brands of alcohol, and a low murmur of general conversation. The bar he walked into might not be inside the red light district proper, but you wouldn't have to walk far to reach it.

What can he say? It feels a lot more like home. ]

Got a few practical skills. I can fix things. Move things. Done a lot of work guarding things. And people.

[ God, this is hard. How do you sell yourself without revealing that you worked for the evil megacorp? How do you even talk to a camera without hating every moment of it? He pauses to swig a mouthful of beer. ]

...doesn't have to be permanent. One-offs are fine, if someone needs help with something quick. I can, uh...generate chroma too. If needed. [ He pauses, searching for words. ] Oh - I can operate a helicopter too, if that's useful.

...again, it's Rude. [ Another pause, another drink. ] And before you ask, yeah. I've heard the joke before.

[ Without Avalanche to crush, or Cetra to stalk, or any of the other many little jobs they had, he suddenly had a ridiculous amount of freedom. There was only so much you could fill with drinking or working out. ]

[His mouth twitches upward. There's an ease to the Shinra heir that might abate any stress, but it's also still Rufus in the end.]

[There's a face she's been more or less expecting to show up at some point. This place seems to have a thing for drawing in Turks. But she can't be too upset in this case.

On the contrary, when her video feed begins she's smiling and appears to be genuinely happy to see him. The shadow of her headboard and a turned over cover can be glimpsed behind her, hinting to her location sitting atop her bed.]

Rude, hi. When did you get here? [Having already clocked Rufus' response she's sure they both already know about each other. How did she miss that?]

[ That is not the reaction he'd expected to get from her at all. To him, the last thing he'd caused in her life was unimaginable anguish: crushing her workplace and a great deal of her life, then going right on to try and repel their attack on the Shinra building. Instead of anger or grief, as he'd expected...

Smiling. Smiling at him in bed, no less. ]

If you still need some work I can probably put in a good word for you at the club I work at. If you don't mind bouncer work. It's not actually as exciting as being a bodyguard.
