Well, I'm pretty sure we didn't actually need any more proof about the whole "if you go home you go back to the same time you left with no memories" thing, but I guess I'm just more proof for that.

No one ever mentioned how WEIRD it is to have two conflicting sets of memories if you come back though. Has anyone else had any issues with dealing with that? Or am I just weird because of how long I was away from home and then how long I stayed there again?

And on a completely different topic, does the prismal kids dressing up as us seem weird to anyone else? Halloween isn't a thing in my world, but dressing up as real people doesn't seem to match what I've heard about it. Do any of you who come from a world that has Halloween know if that's a normal thing or just something the prismals came up with?

It does take a while to get used to the idea.

[And she'll just... not mention that Gohan actually had been here for a while. Even if he wasn't here now. ]

Well, it took a while to get used to running around jumping between worlds with a giant key, too. Maybe I just need a little longer.

[Or to actually meet one of these guys in person, though that might make it worse, at least at first.]

Anyway. I'm heading to the park now. Should be there in a couple minutes.

Maybe. Going to be honest though, that still sounds weird to me even after how long I've known you.

[And indeed, Kairi's at the park in just a bit, glancing around eagerly for her friend. The moment she sees Videl, her eyes light up and she rushes towards her with a wide grin.]

Videl! Hey!

[ Videl grins once she sees Kairi, and before she even says anything else to her Videl flings herself at Kairi and quickly wraps her arms around the other girl.]

God, it's so good to see you, Kairi.

[Giggling happily, Kairi throws her own arms around Videl and squeezes her in turn.]

Same! I didn't think you were going to come back! Or if you did, I was worried you wouldn't remember.

[Just like the others.]

[ It really didn't hit her until this moment just how, well, few close friends Videl actually had back home. Sure, that wasn't something she had minded all that much back home (most of the stuff she dealt with just being around Gohan and his family could easily drive any of those friends bonkers), but just... being this close to someone and having it feel normal was wonderful.

Of course, Videl does listen to what Kairi says, which probably doesn't mean anything good.]

...Did a lot of people that you know leave around the same time I did?

... I lost Sora. And Riku.

[Riku was already gone when Videl left though, wasn't he? She couldn't be sure, come to think of it.]

And Aqua left, she came back but without any of her memories... It's just been a big mess, honestly. I've got Roxas, and a couple friends I met here, but... most of them seem to be gone.

[At this point, the only other person in her apartment is Koishi. She's cried herself out already over it all, but it still dampens her spirits a bit to think about it.]

[ Oh no. That's... yeah, that definitely explains Kairi's current state, and Videl ends up tightening her hug without really thinking about it.]

I'm sorry. Losing all of them at once must've been... [ She trails off, not sure on how to finish that sentence in a way that didn't sound stupid. But at least she was back. And she remembered.]

I'm back now though. And somehow I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon.

[Kairi's clinging a little. She hadn't really planned on that, but with this topic of conversation, it was probably inevitable. She's not crying, but that's mostly because she's already shed those tears.

A few times, actually.]

Well, you stuck around a while last time, so I can believe that. [With a sigh, she gives one last squeeze before moving back enough that she can look Videl in the face.]

It's just so good to be able to see and hear you.

Same here. When I first got back here I had no idea who'd still be around. Even though it's only been a couple of months since I was last here.

[Other than Cloud, she has yet to run into anyone that she met here the first time. She was going to have to check to see who else was still here. But thinking about that and who else might be gone was bound to make things be depressing, so maybe it was time to focus on something else instead.]

Anyway, once I get my chroma reserves back up again, we're definitely going to have to see where you are in your training now.

Wow, it has, hasn't it? Somehow it feels like way longer.

[These have just been a couple really long months, she supposes.]

But you better believe it! I'm gonna give you a run for your money!

[She flexes, and the muscle definition is impressive, but she's barely keeping the giggles in. Videl's probably gonna put her in the dirt in seconds, and she knows it.]

[ Videl doesn't even bother trying to keep her giggles in response to what Kairi said.]

Trust me, I'm counting on it!

[ Though immediately after saying that, she's going to move in to tighten the hug again.]

[That laughter is echoed by Kairi's own, and she returns the hug eagerly.]

Just gotta get you charged up first.

Yeah, somehow I don't think you'd like it if you won because I ran out of chorma after a minute. [ Sure, Kairi might not be as into fighting for fighting's sake as Videl is (or at least was?), but winning that way would still suck no matter who you were.]

I'd be disappointed and worried about you. Terrible combination.

[Seriously, if she could just not see people she cares about getting covered in crystals ever again, that would be great.}

But hey, I can wait. It'll give me a chance to get prepared!

[As much so as she possibly can.]

Sorry. I completely forgot that was a thing that could happen because of chroma.

[ It's a good thing that she didn't have that happen. She had a feeling that going through it would be horrifying.

She did end up tightening her hug just a little without really thinking about it though.]

[Kairi wasn't going to complain about the hold, but it was pretty obvious from it that she'd made Videl nervous. She rubbed her back a little, trying to be soothing.]

It's fine. I'm sure you won't have to worry about that.

[As long as she slips back into Lunatia okay, at least. Speaking of which...]

So, what were you doing before you put the post up?

[Videl blinks at the question for a moment, before letting out a laugh. ]

Trying to figure out were the stuff in my old apartment went, actually. Looks like it all got put in a storage unit though, so that shouldn't take too much longer.

Oh, is that how it works? Good! It would've sucked to have to replace everything.

[Especially since, you know, it'd all cost Chroma.]

Are they gonna bring it back in for you or do you have to do that yourself?

[Thankfully her bank account was also still intact. Just not the actual chroma energy that powers powers. ]

I'm going to have to go pick it all up myself. But that's not going to be as much of a pain as it sounds. I have some of my capsules with me so I really just need to get there.

I keep forgetting you have those things.

[Seriously, those practically sound like they're cheating. Not that it matters much, Videl could probably pick up a couch in each hand if she had to.

Though it definitely makes it easier to get them through the doors.]

Well, I was gonna ask if you needed any help, but it sounds like you've got this pretty handled already.

Well it's not like I used them all that often last time, so that's not surprising. [ She only had the one with her last time, after all. Now she at least had a couple more, even if they were all empty.]

But yeah, I'll pretty much have it handled when I go to pick up everything.
