Is there... is there any way to measure how much gold is in chroma? I have... the evil kidnapping foxes, they killed my ferret, and I need her back, but the spell is... it needs a component of incense, charcoal and herbs worth a specific amount of gold, and I'm not sure how to balance that in our... money.

[ He sighs, rubbing the back of his head and kind of getting the stick tangled in it. ]

I haven't actually done this without my master. Do summoning spells even work, here?

[ He really hopes so, he misses Grace a lot. ]

A-and no, it's not a real ferret? She's more like a spirit that takes the form of a ferret. She can't really die, just go back to her plane when she's killed. So I have to summon her again.

...Oh, that's very kind of you, but I do have the gold, it's just that the places here don't take it. I just don't know how much of the components I need to buy with chroma to make it worth the same as the price it asks for back home.

Well, back home it would be from the Feywild, but here... I don't... I don't actually know.

I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to buy a summoning item from the shop if you have the resources. Less guesswork involved that way.

The Ware Wolf Shop sells things like dimensional orbs and summonrock chalk, not sure what would best apply, but it could be useful in your case.

Really? That's... I should look into that. Maybe I don't need to do my magic at all...

I suspect it's better than potentially butchering a spell if you're uncertain. I'm not sure what the rules of magic are in where you are from, but playing around with magic is...reckless...where I'm from. Wondrous as it is.

It... can be. I mean, my magic is always very... very unstable. Chaotic.

Ah...yes, I can imagine her loss is painful, but it's best not to take the dangerous route if you are uncertain.

No... just... just about a month with my master, and she's a wizard... so it's different. I just randomly learned magic one day.

[ 'Randomly learned magic' sounds better than 'I was stabbed by an assassin and magic just exploded out and killed everyone around me'. ]

...and I know. I'll... I'll look into the summoning items.

Randomly learning magic, now that's new to me. I know I was nine years old when my magic manifested which is quite young, but there are circles of magi where I come from and I caught on quick.

Just randomly learning though, do you have a predisposition for magic that you are aware of?

Well, it's... it's called 'wild magic'. Sometimes it just touches someone or lies dormant in their blood, and it makes them able to cast spells - but sometimes... sometimes there are backlashes.

[ He shifts a bit uncomfortably. ]

I also don't really have any say over what kind of spells that come to me.

What sort of backlashes?

Really? You don't have branches of magic you can learn from, it's just whatever pops up for you?

Well... um... sometimes it makes me go invisible, or I can only speak with pink bubbles, or I turn into a house plant... or I cast a spell I didn't mean to cast...

[ He trails off a bit. ]

Normally, wizards read and train to learn their spells from different magic schools, but my spells just... they just happen. One day I learned how to cast a lightning bolt and I don't know where it came from.

That sounds wildly unpredictable, and these random acts of magic are just...random? There's no particular classification for the magic you perform, you just do it?
