Text (shortly after the August Iris moon phase ends)

Hello, fellow Moonblessed! This is the Principality Aziraphale and I have a few subjects I'd like to discuss with you, if you have the time to spare.

One is simply a request for good book recommendations, though I'm also curious if anyone has ever run into books here they were familiar with back home?

The other is particularly for those also blessed by the Iris moon... Have you had any trouble with shocking things? And people? My last phase resulted in my being quite affectionate but it's a bit of a hardship trying to cuddle when you keep accidentally shocking your partner.

[There is a possibility of Crowley threadjacking, forewarning.]

Pick your own name, then. Or at least explain who thought 'Five' was an acceptable thing to call a child.

[Crowley will absolutely respect a chosen name, but if it's a number he at least wants to know how that happened. ...'Mittens' might stick as a nickname, though.]

Ask Reginald that.
He’s in hell right now.

Or some place in the afterlife where you can probably talk to him.

All I'm hearing is more reasons you should reject his numbering of you and substitute a name of your own choosing.

Is there a particular reason you're set on me changing my name?

[ He's just curious why Crowley is determined. Could this person (bird guy) be concerned about him in some way? The thought has crossed his mind to change his name more times than he can count, but it's hard to know why he hasn't done just that.

In reality, it's a bit of nostalgia getting to him. That's all his family ever called him by, and he's a sentimental soul, believe it or not. ]

Less set on and more I think assigning children numbers is a fucked-up thing to do to them. Sure, your average angelic name references God in some capacity, but She at least gave out functional names and didn't just number us all.

Besides, I changed my name. Twice, technically, but the first time it was more changed for me.

It's your life, though, so do what you want with it.

Why did you bother changing it?

Second one gave the wrong image.

No one who Fell kept their original name.

[ Ohhhh. It just all clicks now. This one is a demon. How amusing. ]

I would have never thought that an angel and a demon would be such good friends.
Congratulations on not conforming to the society's expectations.

Yeah, well. Having thrown out one set of rules, I never really adopted another. And we're the only ones who've been on Earth the whole time, instead of either end of the same bloody building. That kind of thing changes you.

It's amazing you two can be close when nobody in my family can get along at all.

[ That's an exaggeration. Luther & Allison were.. something, for sure. But they're all generally pretty dysfunctional. ]

Any relationship tips would be appreciated.
whateternityis: (glorious tool. yeah.)

Bold of you to assume I have tips, other than 'maybe don't wait six millennia to deal with it.'

[There are good reasons why neither of them made a move before very recently, to be fair. Doesn't mean he'd advise it.]
