Hello, fellow Moonblessed! This is the Principality Aziraphale and I have a few subjects I'd like to discuss with you, if you have the time to spare.

One is simply a request for good book recommendations, though I'm also curious if anyone has ever run into books here they were familiar with back home?

The other is particularly for those also blessed by the Iris moon... Have you had any trouble with shocking things? And people? My last phase resulted in my being quite affectionate but it's a bit of a hardship trying to cuddle when you keep accidentally shocking your partner.

Probably. If they don't, that should be easy enough to make happen regardless.

True. Bringing a rubber duck into existence shouldn't cost too much chroma, I'd imagine. And we do know how to produce more.

By the time she came back it would've been a moot point. Not sure you could've got away with it before she left.

Our... Chroma production? Is affecting the plant? I wasn't aware that was even possible.

Sure at shit seems to be. Wouldn't have expected the blessed thing to be putting out a bloom stalk already, and that's the only variable I can think of.

[Well. Only normal-people variable. He maybe possibly hasn't been in as much of a mood to terrify it. If pressed, he'll say it's not as much fun with only one plant to take the abuse.]

Oh, how lovely! I hadn't even noticed! Something else to keep an eye on, perhaps. Also a reason to get more plants, then. Surely it would be easier to tell if that's what's causing it, with more plants?

Maybe. Still not sure I've got a proper space ready for them.

What this is is completely fucking up my gardening routine. [That's probably a good thing, on the whole. Crowley even knows it's probably a good thing. Doesn't mean he's quite ready to surrender his Totally Normal Yelling That Is Not At All A Poor Coping Mechanism yet.]

Of course. You did seem to have a whole room dedicated to them back home, didn't you? Do you need that again? Should we attempt to save for a larger place to live?

[It might give him more room for books too!!]

I'm... Not entirely sure that's a bad thing, dearest. A change in routine doesn't mean you have to give up the hobby, of course, but you may find a slightly different method, such as this, even more fulfilling.

[Please ease off abusing your plants, Crowley. Please. We can work on this.]

Not a bad idea, that. Normally I'd just say miracle the place bigger, but this isn't really normal.




I'm not saying you're wrong. But I'm not about to give up my high expectations, and I don't know if you're ready to talk about why the routine is what it is yet.

[Weirdly, having to explain things to the gaggle of Japanese teenagers might be helping a little. But being able to talk about it with Aziraphale will help more, assuming Aziraphale's ready to hear it.]

Unfortunately, we do seem a good amount more limited here. It's certainly taking some adjustment.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. I wasn't aware that your gardening had something to do with me.

Well there's no need to groan at me! It's not as if I myself am a huge fan, after the Holy Water and Hellfire debacle.

[But that was Heaven and Hell and not, specifically, God. At least, not in Aziraphale's view of things. He'd thought not in Crowley's either, just on the basis of their conversation at the bus stop. They'd both seemed to agree at the time on the idea that how things ultimately went down could have been Her plan all along. But then, that had been prior to their being abducted and sentenced to destruction.]

[Believing She could well have planned for everything to turn out the way it did isn't the same as being comforted by the notion. Crowley's been burned one time too many to find any peace in the idea, especially since She couldn't be arsed to tell anyone. There are too many answers he doesn't have, doesn't expect to ever get, and probably wouldn't like if he somehow did.]

Yes, but you still have faith, angel. I don't understand how you pulled that off, but I won't be the one to break it for you. [Not when the risks are as big as they are, in this case.]

In God, you mean? At this point I'm not sure it can be broken. Millennia of conversations together, my dear, or have you forgotten? I think we'll be alright.

[Aziraphale doesn't necessarily approve of the way She's gone about things either. But that's the difference. He doesn't feel he has to approve. He doesn't feel he has to fully understand it. He only has to believe that, in the end, everything will work out. It has so far. He also can't help feeling a bit like being here is his (possibly their) reward for the test She'd seemed to put them all through very recently. Maybe because that's how being with Crowley in this way feels. Like a reward.]

All said, if there's something you need me to do in order to help you, you know you only have to ask. If it's something I feel capable of doing, I will. In a heartbeat.

Suppose you have a point there. If Armageddon didn't actually shake your faith I'm not sure much else could. Still, can you blame me for worrying?
