[Vanitas is seated with his chin propped up in one hand when the video comes on. He looks significantly calmer (and less Sanguis-y) than the last time he made a post like this.]

Bonjour. I've done this once before, but I feel as though I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I just relied on snooping and idle gossip.

[He straightens up, a hand going to his chest with an undeniably cocky grin.]

So! My name is Vanitas and I am a doctor to vampires, although I myself am just an average human. In an attempt to better understand the nature of the world we currently find ourselves in and those that all of you are from I have a request! I'd like to hear all of your "legends" about vampires. It's become clear that despite the wide variety of worlds represented here vampires are a reality in very few, so I'm curious about where your preconceived notions of them stem from.

Of course if you yourself happen to be a vampire or personally acquainted with any I'm even more interested in you. Don't hesitate to come forward and chat with me, I'll even be accommodating if you want to do so anonymously.

As a vampire I'm kind of curious how you learned about this?

Vampires are fairly common where I'm from, but there was no one who could step up and do what I can.

[It's actually much more complicated than that, but it also definitely isn't information he's just going to tell a stranger.]

You sound pretty confident then?

[Ritsu smirks showing off those fangs.]

Confidence comes from having the knowledge and reputation to back up my claims.

[Granted that reputation isn't ALL good but. That's not the point.]

[Ritsu is finding this guy pretty interesting.]

Then what do you think to say about me?

[inabluemoon]

You look like you need a nap.

[He gets the feeling that this guy is mocking him so he's gonna be sassy.]

I'm not some cheap street performer trying to guess your age by looking at you.

During the day yes I do?

[This guy is so touchy...wow.]

Didn't say you were? I was curious since I haven't met a doctor that actually specializes with vampires back home.

[inabluemoon]

Well you don't show any other signs of being sick so unless you're just very good at hiding it what else would you expect?

[He huffs and crosses his arms.]

Are vampires common where you're from?

[strayknight]

You can really tell that over the video?

[Ritsu really wonders if this guy is okay?]

Nope...just my family that I know of right now. But there are a few of us.

[inabluemoon]

Yes.

[Vanitas has literally never been okay.]

Just your family? Curious. I've never heard of it just being hereditary.

[strayknight]

It's a thing for the Sakuma family thing I guess?

[Never okay.

Shifting in the camera's view, he rests his hand on his chin.]

I see.

[He hums thoughtfully.]

Do need to drink blood?

[strayknight]

Yeah, I drink blood but I can eat other things too.

[inabluemoon]

I see. Do you have any other abilities?

[strayknight]

...Strength, smell?

[inabluemoon]

So similar to those from my world. Is your lifespan any different from a humans'?

[strayknight]

Really? Live longer.

[inabluemoon]

Hey, I'm just asking based on what I've heard from other people.

[strayknight]

I answered...I know people live longer in my family.

[inabluemoon]

Hm. [He drums pointed nails against his desk.]

And beyond that? Is there anything else of note as far as abilities go?

[He's never heard of vampirism occurring specifically in a blood line, but then again this guy might just not know much outside his family. He's definitely encountered a certain other oblivious and naive vampire before. But if it really is just in the family that's... Interesting.]

[Closing his eyes for a moment to yawn he then opens one to stare at the man.]

We're weak to sunlight...I don't do well in it and I was sicker as a kid.

[He really was kept in the home a lot as a child so he might be bratty but he wasn't really well versed outside of home for a while.]

I've heard about the sunlight one several times from other people in legends and from experience, but that isn't something shared with vampires from my world so it's still noteworthy to me. The vampires from my world have no trouble with sunlight.

[It really seems like an inconvenient weakness that would make them pretty easy to spot. And beat. Damn, that would make his job much easier.]

[Ritsu could be in it but...it was a pain.]

Hm...so your vampires are fine in it? Must be nice. I'm more active at night~ That's my morning.

[inabluemoon]

Interesting. The vampires I know certainly seem to enjoy the night a lot but they can be active more or less whenever without suffering for it.

[He tilts his head thoughtfully.]

How are you doing with the blood?

[strayknight]

I can be...but it's a pain.

[A curious look.]

I've found one person that let's me bite them.
