hagrides: surprise (through dream I travel at lantern's call)

Hello, fellow Moonblessed. If you'll oblige me with some of your time, I have a few questions about humans. That species is nonexistent where I hail from, so please forgive my curiosity, and I apologize in advance if any of these are rude.

1. Humans have no shells or carapace, and their clothing seems more decorative than protective. Am I correct in assuming that they use magic to defend themselves?

2. Do humans go through metamorphosis? I don't believe I have seen a human larva or grub here, though I admit I do not know how I would distinguish human young from an adult other than size.

3. Most humans that I have seen have hair primarily on their heads, rather than their whole body like, for example, a spider. Does that not make regulating their temperature more complicated?

That will be all for now. Once again, I thank you for your assistance.

1. Yeah, we're at the top of the food chain. We even raise other animals and breed them to eat.

2. What are other people telling you?

3. Exactly! We have clothes because we can't live in like super cold places so we need to keep warm but otherwise we're pretty adaptable.

How big of a moth are we talking? The moths I know are tiny.

1. Other animals can eat us but we're often craftier and have weapons to fight them so it's not that common.

2. What? That's wrong, we only go into the ground when we're dead. The physical contact part is only partly true though...we will huddle for warmth if it gets cold but it's not convenient or effective.

2. We don't, you're right! Is it cold for you, though? I assume you don't wear clothes...

That's...pretty big. Bigger than me, actually. The moths at home are like, barely the size of a pinky finger.

2. You have to be careful. People will lie to you all the time.

3. So you're naked?

Yeah, about that. Moths can't talk where I'm from. Humans usually can't talk to animals, period.

2. They want to make fun of you because you don't understand. Believe me, I have a friend who gets this a lot because he doesn't know a lot of stuff.

3. I see. And nobody's told you that it's made them uncomfortable?

Well, a lot of us are talkers, so we don't really miss out on that opportunity.

[sdfghgfd HE WASN'T ASKING THAT well he knd of was but THANKS]

2. Sadly, some humans are just jerks.

3. Oh, no, I didn't mean it like that, but I guess you look different enough that it isn't a problem. Sorry.

Do you actually have humans, where you're from?

[god]

Okay. Well, humans are pretty weird, but I do have to tell you something.

A lot of humans? They're absolutely terrified of bugs.

Yeah.

The appearance freaks a lot of people out. Like you guys have too many legs, too many eyes...

I don't get it myself, but I'm not kidding when I say that I've seen adults jump up on chairs and scream when they see a tiny little spider.

They would find it rude, probably, but I would laugh along with you.

What do you look like, anyways?

No, it isn't. Go for it.

[Hey, he doesn't look like a giant moth man! Well, kind of, if he squints. Very cool colors, though.]

You look different from the moths I know! Pretty human-looking, too.

Honestly, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you look like a human wearing a costume.

Do you have another pair of arms under there?
