This is The Knight.

I wish to talk about families.

What is your family like? Do you have siblings? I have many siblings. More siblings than there are moonblessed. One of them is here with me. They are also a knight. They were one long before I was, and they are very good at it.

I have a child. They were not born by mating, as humans do, but by a dance with myself and my friend Grimm. It was part of an important ritual.

My Father is a King. My Mother is a Tree. Also a Queen.

That is all of my family. Please tell me about yours.

Not exactly. Have you encountered anyone under a kraken moonblessing lately?

I am not familiar with that moonblessing. What does it do?

Those under its effects drain Chroma from their moonlacing partner, rather than generate any.

Lobco had to scold me quite severely when she found me in a weakened state.

That sounds like the enemy on Iris.

So, she cursed some of those who fought her then. That is very dangerous.

It is. She is not to be underestimated.

At least she is imprisoned again.

But I cannot call the others to swallow her as we did Her.

Your siblings deserve their rest. As do you.

I dislike thinking she may return.

But you do not fight alone here. Nor do you only have your siblings to fall back on. Remember that.

I am very used to protecting the others, though.

It... would feel unpleasant, seeing my friends within those. But I will remember it is not their end, as it would be in Hallownest.

As will I. And the both of us can heal them, now, when their Chroma drops low.

[In Hallownest, neither of them could heal others. Only wound.]

This I have had to do for Usagi before.

She also is good at getting herself in danger.

You are not exactly one to play it safe yourself.

Perhaps she will need to rescue me one day.

Perhaps. A relationship of equals, rather than a knight to serve.

I do not wish to see her have to fight, though.

She is so gentle.
