Out of curiosity, how many of you are looking for moonlacing partners? I mean, you could probably just ask a friend or something, but for the more available, what do you have to offer that makes you stand out from the others who are looking for partners?

I am a Knight of the Round, though I imagine that is long since gone in your time, if it existed at all.

Tell me about what the Knights of the Round do?

Well I should say it's the Round Table, I just Knight of the Round for short.

But we serve King Arthur and her interests. And outside of that, we protect the defenseless and do what is right.

Or we did when I was alive. Now I have another Master I serve, though I am their knight as well.

Career changes are complicated.

So you're a Heroic Spirit like Mordred, then? She explained to me about King Arthur and his court. I assume that means you're the same, anyway.

And my age and willingness to make money shouldn't get me into too much trouble.

Unless you have some nefarious designs with holo-editing software.

It's not me I'm talking about. I'm at least relieved that you're being little more circumspect than other people are.

Oh, it's not that big a deal. I am hardly worried about anyone on this network hurting each other.

I certainly hope they don't. There's our hosts to think about, too. They were awfully interested in gathering data about us when we first showed up.

I'm not really worried. That more or less mirrored the Republic's First Contact Protocol.

If they start restricting our autonomy then we'll have a problem, but for now, I'm willing to give them a little trust.

... well, I could be jumping at shadows. I just hope the Republic wasn't quite as handsy as the Prismals were.

Please, medical droids cover all that. And scanners, but that appears slightly beyond Prismal tech.

I'm starting to get used to the technology here, but I think it could be helpful to spend some time with someone who knows more about it than I do.

I'm never quite sure of the etiquette of these Earth things.

For me, it's more the instant communication factor. We've invented radio and telephone and newspapers, but nothing quite like this sort of platform that you can go on and respond to at any time, you know?

[erranthero]

I do know. My world is much, much more advanced than this one, but I've dealt with cultures on other planets that are just on the cusp of reaching this.

Your world will get there in time. And it's convenient, at least.

I'm taking comfort in that, at least. We've at least laid the groundwork, so who knows? Maybe I'll see my world hit this level of technology in my lifetime.

Hopefully. It's a world-changing thing. And once you have that instantaneous free access to information, further advancements are kind of explosive.
