Perhaps your husband could begin work on a second farmstead? That may occupy him for the duration of Sanguis and provide a considerable workout.

[ He's only kind of joking. I mean, he'd offer sparring, but he's not sure he wants to attempt fighting a huge Sanguis-affiliated Jinba while blind. Plus Ignis is better with weapons. ]

I suppose you've a fine point, yes. Sanguis entails considerable heightened strength. It'd be a bit of a hazard not only to his surroundings but himself, and considering his stature and capabilities in normal circumstances... well, your husband poses quite the challenge.

Your concern is very generous, Konoha. I'm sure there is something that can be done to relieve the situation, even if only temporarily, even if Sanguis poses the most difficulty in managing. Have you thought to consider asking Gonta if he would attempt regular exercise? Something rigorous to keep him busy and expend the extra energy and aggression more safely.

[ Probably a weird suggestion, but it's something Ignis did often back when he was Sanguis. He had this sort of routine with Gladio as well.

(Ignoring the fact exercise with Gladio was basically just taking a large wolf out on walks...) ]

And you've a wonderful job of doing so. [ Best wife Konoha. She has Ignis' vote. ]

Ah, yes, the concept of exercise would seem foreign to non-human entities. My apologies. Exercise poses many different purposes. Some use it to manage their weight, others use it as training for strength, and some simply for the fun of it. [ Which can be weird, especially if you're more inclined to being lazy. Fun exercise sounds like an oxymoron. ] The important matter is that you must be motivated to exercise to begin with. Otherwise, it becomes more of a tedious chore, and most tend not to enjoy such things.

Precisely, and there is certainly nothing wrong with such a thing. I'm sure your strength and fortitude comes as a large benefit of your willingness to stay busy, Konoha.

[ I mean he won't say it out loud but he remembers her looking very fit and lively. ]

You truly are an ideal spouse.

I can only wonder. However I assure you nothing needs to be done, as long as you remain as you are.

Though if you are still assured in your plan to help Gonta, I can speak to Gladio in lending his assistance once more. I only ask you keep a close eye on him.

I've never known Gladio to ignore a woman in distress, so I cannot possibly say no. I trust him to be in good hands.

[ Hooves? Hands and hooves? However that works. ]

Gladio does happen to be Sanguis as well, so if you would feel more secure having someone with more familiarity to him nearby, you may request myself or Noctis to join you.

[ He gives a soft laugh. ]

Ever reliably so, yes.

[ Gladio has two weaknesses: cup noodles, and ladies. Feelings aside, Ignis knows this will always be the case. ]

Ah, you've spoken with Noct? Wonderful. Perhaps we may both pay a visit to the farmstead with Gladio then.
tayoru: (Untitled-28)

[personal profile] tayoru 2020-02-07 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
[ That certainly is... not really a surprise. There's another laugh on Ignis' end. ]

It seems we both came across the same idea then. [ Poor Gladio, being pimped out for his big muscles. ] Very well, we shall inform him of his duty and arrive at the farm when ready. I hope it would not be too much to request a small selection of your product in exchange? Potatoes and carrots would be particularly appreciative.

[ He needs a "sorry we made you fight this giant horse man" re-compensation dinner for Gladio, so that means a nice beef stew. ]

I'm sure he'll be very appreciative of your generosity, though I do advise you be careful. The more you spoil him the more likely you are to find a stray cat wandering about the farm during Cordis in search of a free meal.
tayoru: (Untitled-29)

[personal profile] tayoru 2020-02-07 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
A little of both, I'm afraid. A Cordis appetite is like nothing I've ever seen. I'm still only human. My cooking can only do so much. And I cannot leave a simple garnish on his meals, he refuses to touch even a sprig of parsley. When he is a cat he hasn't even the patience for cooked meals, he'll only eat raw fish and meat from a plate. No negotiation.

[ It's enough to give Ignis a heart-attack, but for Noct, he can be hoaxed into allowing just about anything. At least in Cordis form. The important thing is to make sure he stays fed, no matter how many cooking rules and etiquette he has to break. ]

Terribly unsightly, I understand, but it's the only way he chooses to eat most things as a cat. I did try to give him cat food once.

He knocked the plate over and was very cross with me for the rest of the day.
