[ he had been waiting for taichi to show his face since the last time he saw him, well, also on video, getting a little worried about his whereabouts after sending him his address (but granted, it's not like taichi would just know where places are anyway). so banri is visibly relieved when it looks like his troupe mate is doing fine. ]

Hey, you look good! Your ears suit you! I can see a little bit of your tail wagging, too!

[ and since banri is also affected by this moon, a little bit of his wolf ears can be seen in the video, on top of his head. ]

Have you tried to eat anyone yet?

[ Taichi has been staying in a motel room. HE isn't quite a hobo, but he also couldn't find Banri's address. He was going to ask Banri to meet him somewhere and take him there, but things kept going crazy and then he figured it was best not to go out for a while and focus on finding a job. Which he was going to tell Banri, but the topic of conversation is decidedly distracting again. ]

I'm not going to eat anyone, Ban-chan-- have you!?

[ obviously in a joke tone. he leans a little closer to the camera, trying to look at taichi's background. ]

Where are you staying?

[ Okay, Taichi gets the joke at least and relaxes a little. This is all new okay?? he doesn't know if people are turning into wolves and eating people. Banri could've turned into a werewolf for all he knows, but thank god he's joking. ]

A motel room! I couldn't find your address at first, and then people were swarming the streets for *BSTB so I took shelter and looked at job ads online.

Oh man, that sounds tough.

[ now he feels a little bad he didn't put in more effort to find him... although in his defense he was also going through his first moon perils, so. ]

[ He just snaps a pic of the motel's little stationary pad with their information on it and sends it on over. There are clearly little doodles all over the stationary too of weird monsters... ]

[ and that's the last thing he sends before gearing up to go look for his motel and then his room, dreading the outside when the moon is in sanguis— he avoids it whenever possible, but this is taichi, there's no way he's gonna leave him there all alone. in banri's case, he can smell everything around him and hear much better, so it can be a little overwhelming to go out, but... thankfully, he's banri, so he can handle it fine all the way to taichi's room, knocking outside. ]

Taichi? It's me, open up.

[ Taichi, on the other hand, hasn't made it out of the motel because he's excitedly been checking everything out. All the crazy smells and everything is awesome to him, and microwaving hot dogs has never been a more exciting event.

That said, he definitely smells someone coming but he's admittedly never taken a good wiff of Banri before, so he doesn't know that it's him. The second he hears his voice though, he runs to the door and it flies open.

His tail is wagging, obviously. ]

Ban-chan, come in!

[ ..Thankfully, Taichi doesn't own enough here to make a mess, but his skateboard is in the middle of the floor and the bed isn't made. ]

[ a little part of banri was expecting taichi to be scared or maybe even mad, but instead he's startled by the door almost immediately swinging open and a very excited puppy looking at him. once the initial surprise is over, banri's own tail wags a little. ]

Hey! You look good! You're even fluffier in the flesh!

[ he reaches a hand to touch taichi's head, messing up his hair. ]

Have you been a good boy? You haven't gotten yourself into any trouble, have you?

Uhh.. there were a couple of close calls, but no real trouble.

[ He got a boner in public because of a song once and accidentally smacked some guy in the face with a magazine because the wind caught it. But he wasn't busted for anything!

After a couple of seconds of getting pet, his tail continuing to wag during it (god chroma feels good, what the heck), he realizes his hair is missed up and reaches up to fix it while making a face. He's very particular about his hair, what the heck!! ]

[ well good news is banri definitely does Not need to know that, so it's okay if taichi never brings it up. he laughs after taking his hand away, very understanding of hair issues, since he's the same. ]

Right, right. Anyway, you should grab your stuff and come with me. Unless you'd rather stay here?

[ He goes and grabs his stuff: A paper bag of some extra clothes he bought (ones he hopes to get rid of soon and upgrade to way more fashionable brands), his skateboard, a weird rainbow-metallic blanket, and second a bag of snacks, a couple cans of food, a couple water bottles, and some magazines. ]

Ready!

[ god. banri looks at him with a concerned look, watching him pack all that nonsense. ]

Dude, we're not going camping. I have food at my place—

[ ...but after a moment of looking at him, he remembers what it's like to suddenly appear in this place and not know what to expect, and how scary of an experience this whole thing can be, and how exhausting, mentally and physically... so instead of finishing his thought, he pauses, sighs, and pats taichi's shoulder. ]

You know what, I am missing some snacks. Glad you have them. [ he reaches for one of his bags, whichever looks the heaviest, and takes it from him to carry it. ] Follow me.

I was living in a motel room, I needed food and I don't have a fridge.

[ He doesn't have a lot of money yet, he had to buy what he could for sustenance. The food bag is heavier since it has the water bottles in it, so Banri ends up with that one and Taichi rearranges himself so he's more evenly balanced with his clothes bag and his skateboard. He pulls the door shut with his foot then heads toward the lobby. He's got to check out or they'll keep charging him. ]

Hey...

[ for a second he's confused as to why taichi is going to the lobby, then remembers he's dealing with a good boy, so, fine. they can go be proper citizens first. banri doesn't mind the slight detour, anyway. ]

So, how do you like this place? I can't say I can answer all your questions since I haven't been here long either, but if you want to know anything, shoot.

[ He turns over his key and pays his bill, and watches his bank account drop to almost zero again off of his device because he's been staying here for a bit. He makes a whining noise and his head droops until Banri asks his question. ]

It's cool! I miss home, though. [ His family and the rest of Mankai Company and his clothing and even.. gulp, school. ] Hm... what's the most important thing there is to know about here?

[ he watches his puppy ears droop down along with taichi's mood, probably unbeknownst to taichi himself, and suddenly banri remembers he has his own traitorous ears and tail. it's good to know he's not alone in it, though. also, he can sort of tell what made taichi so depressed. thankfully chroma is easy enough to gain back. ]

Yeah, I miss it too. I try not to think about it, though. [ because then he'll get depressed and he's trying to stay positive until he finds a way back. he raises an eyebrow at his choice of question, though. ] Um, ask something less broad?

Well.. uh... [ He lowers his voice. He should not be asking about this outside but Banri wants him to ask questions, right?? ] How do you make decent money if you don't have a girlfriend here? That demichroma stuff doesn't go a long way. [ He can't just let Banri pet his head all day. ]

For a moment there I forgot who I was talking to. [ their very own resident horny teenager. what can he even tell him though? he knows taichi has always struggled getting a girlfriend, despite really, really wanting one. with how things are around here though, maybe he'll finally catch a lucky break? he turns back to him with a grin, as they walk outside the motel. ]

[ He starts talking from behind his hand, then reaches up to pull Banri's hand off of his mouth before trying again. He's whispering now at least, but like.. loud whisper-yelling. It's only barely an improvement. ]
