Mal sehen, ob ich mich erinnere.... Otacon! I have for you an update on what the shift is for me, during Iris.

[The man ducks his head just a touch, and the base of what appear to be very large, very imposing antlers are visible for a moment. Apparently it would take a bit of effort to actually display the entire rack, just judging by the sheer girth of the base of those antlers. Less visible, but still obviously there? The base of a pair of fluffy, off white colored lop ears.]

I would show you in person, if you like, but I would need eh... A little bit of time to get ready. Leaving the apartment has become... a bit more complicated than usual. I am not clear on the anatomy of antlers, I do not think you can just file them down to fit through doors.

... Ah, with complicated in mind! Gabriel, I have a favor I would like to ask of you! I will pay you back, I have no button up shirts. Would you be able to get one or... three for me? I did not come prepared for this, I fear.

[Since he sort of forgot that he was carrying around a giant pair of god-forsaken antlers and tried to walk out a door the way he usually did and... well, that door frame's seen better days, but at least now he knows the antlers are sturdy, right?]

[He was out getting food, so he was around the shopping district as it was. Could spare the chroma, too.

I have had far worse days. I cannot say the same for this door frame though.

[There's a faint crack, and he pulls down a small chunk of the frame itself. Judging by the state of that piece, there's a good chance a lot of it is just barely on by a few fibrous splinters]

A set of two by fours, some nails and a hammer, if it is not too much trouble.

Alright, got that list memorized. Guess you're going to have to use the slightly duck and go out sideways option during Iris- and probably that time all three moons are full.

( The surprise is still visible on her face when she starts her reply, but she's also just as clearly delighted. Moreso, she's speckled in white fawn spots along her cheeks and exposed shoulders in whatever sundress she'd donned for the day, hair carefully braided to keep it from interfering with the doe ears perked up with her interest.

It seems they're both deer, which only has her fondness settling deeper in her smile. )

Reinhardt! I had no idea you were here; it's been such a long time. —Ah, and you're correct, please don't try to file your antlers down! It may be best to just remain inside for a couple of days, if you've only just arrived...

( But that is a bit of a difficult conversation to have with one of your heroes, isn't it? That they may be experiencing a rut and others are putting off their own pheromones and all sorts of additional nonsense. So she'll just let it trail off and smile, tipping her head, looking just a little concerned. )

It's wonderful to see you again, though. Would you be up for some company? I could bring something to eat and try to answer any questions you may have. I've been here quite a few months, now.

So far, at least, he'd not had to deal with any other aspects of the Iris moon, other than being trapped in his own house and taking out the top of a door frame.]

[He flicks one of those ridiculous, long, pale yellow ears as she mentions them, unable and unwilling to stifle his laughter.]

It is something, alright, that I shall agree with. I could have done with a lot less of it.

Ah, you were involved with that as well? I was here, ja, I assisted in the recovery of the captives. You would not be the only friend of mine who found themselves on the wrong side of a set of bars.

[She'd be getting that location in a heartbeat, of course he's eager to see her face to face again.]

[ Wow, a video dedicated all to him on the network! His own video has him shaken out of his persistent depressed state, his tan-grey lop ears perking up (as best they can) and his blue eyes sparkling brightly with joy. ]

Ah, I have broken the door frame attempting to leave, so it would seem.

[ Hal hides how much he's actually into how big and buff Reinhardt is - his type, and he's so gentle and sweet. This is just kind of a sad byproduct of it, so he frowns. ]

That's... not great. Should I come with a bonesaw or something? Do you need anything?

I do not think we'll need to lop them off.

[There's laughter in his tone at that] I am waiting for a friend to bring me a few things, and I'll set about fixing the door frames to suit me.

I think what I will need, when I fix the frame, is some help making some adjustments to the rest of the doors here. After all, this won't be the first time I'll be sprouting antlers! I can't sleep outside for nine days every month.

Should you like to, I would love a hand with that.

[ It seems that for once, having to deal with horned monsters and beasts of varying types comes to an advantage. Not to mention it's probably something Ignis should know about himself, having a pair of antlers as well, though slimmer than Reinhardt's. ]

Pardon my interruption, however I believe most creatures with horns have them connected to the skull and would prove to be painful to remove. Sawing them down is also ill-advised, as they can also contain blood vessels.

I imagine removing them would be the equivalent of ripping off a nail.

[ Not a pleasant mental image probably. ]

Though both do grow back. I suppose that is the good news.

Do not worry, mein Fruend, I have no intention of cutting them off. I may not know much about antlers, but I know you cannot simply saw them off!
