[ Cue the video feed, which begins with a way-too-close-up of Prompto's face. What can be seen of his face, which is mostly just his eyes and freckled nose, looks excited as hell. This is sort of an impromptu broadcast, but he can't not share this. This is a big, big moment for him.

Heyaz! It's ya boy, Prompto. [ ......... ] Uh, so, y'know that special magic chalk you can get from the Ware Wolf guy? Oh, shit, is that supposed to be on the DL? A-anyway. I got some of that biz, aaaaand now — well, I'll just let it speak for itself.

[ The video then turns away from Prompto's face and to a chalk drawing on the ground: a near-complete rendering of a chocobo inside of circle. That's it. It's literally just a poorly-drawn chocobo inside of a circle, with a bit of its tail missing. It'd been near completion when he decided to share this monumental moment with everyone he possibly could, and he still holds a piece of the chalk in his hand, ready to finish off the last of the drawing. Let's all beseech the summoning gods to not bring forth a chocobo as disfigured as the one that Prompto drew, but its shape is at least recognizable to those who are familiar with the species. ]

Bam. Check it! If this actually works, I'm gonna be the proud papa of a brand new chocobo! One that's alllll my own! But I'll let you guys ride it, if you ask nicely.

[ Anyway, enough chit-chat, it's time for action!!! As he squats down near the drawing again, the feed catches him drawing the last bit of the chocobo's tail. For a moment that stretches into eons, nothing happens, but then —

There's a flash of light that temporarily blocks out anything from come through on the video, but as it begins to fade, there is the distinct, unmistakable sound of a kweh.

In the center of the crudely-drawn-but-apparently-effective summoning circle stands a majestic, bright yellow chocobo. ]

Holyyyyyyy shit! It actually — a-are you guys seeing this? It actually worked! Holy shit, he — she?? She's beautiful, have you ever seen a more fluffy, sweet, perfect animal in the whole wide multiverse?! C'mere — wait, what am I gonna name it? I gotta name it —

[ ...The chocobo turns and starts to trot away. Bye! ]

— aaaand it's leaving. Okay, uhhhh, leave me some name suggestions, look forward to my 24-hour livestream of chocobo life coming at'chu soon! Crap—

[ And the video feed cuts off as he breaks into a run to catch his wayward son or daughter. ]

[ Cloud's on his way to the green markets to replace some flowers in his apartment when he could have sworn he heard a very familiar cry. Followed by the sound of large feet padding along the ground in long strides. There aren't many like it, and while he's aware there are others from different worlds that had Chocobos of their own?

This is the first time Cloud's face to face with one! ...for all of half a second as the majestic bird is on the loose and running past him. ]

There's Chocobos here too...-?

[ Aaand there goes someone in hot pursuit. Cloud's eyebrow lift as he tries to wrap his head around the scene in front of him. He hasn't seen the network post that predates this, so he's left wondering how he hasn't spotted one until just now. Shaking his head, the spiky-haired blond finds himself following after Prompto as he attempts to catch up and join the chase, wherever that Chocobo's heading anyway...]

Where'd you get a Chocobo?

[ He asks when he does catch up. ]

[ Honestly, Prompto hasn't even had the time to stop and appropriately appreciate the fact that there's a chocobo here now, and it's his. While he can't be sure someone else hasn't had the same idea as him, suffice it to say that chocobos aren't native here, and he hadn't seen any during his time in the Circle, either. This is, effective, his first time seeing a chocobo in the flesh in almost a year and a half.

...Too bad he has to spend the moment chasing after it rather than hugging it and cooing at it as he would like to be doing.

He's not making much headway in catching the bird, because even if he's fleet-footed himself, he is definitely not as fast as a chocobo. Fortunately, help soon arrives in the form of an unfamiliar guy (but with a great hairdo, he might add), who actually knows what it is they're chasing. It's a promising start! ]

[ Whenever Prompto has the time, after having his wild chocobo goose chase hunting down his new feathered friend, there will be a video message waiting for him. ]

Prompto, Gladio has informed me you have summoned a Chocobo.

[ The angle of the video is directed a bit too far upward, which gives a very clear view of a pair of horns sprouting from Ignis' temples as well as a pair of floppy rabbit ears. ]

[ Ah, just the person he wanted to talk to! If there's anyone who can help Prompto learn the ropes to taking care of another living, breathing animal full-time, it's Ignis.

The horns and ears don't go unnoticed by Prompto, though. That's odd...it's not Sanguis time, and those definitely are Iris features, not Sanguis ones... ]

Sure have! And the whole thing went completely, 100% according to plan! Want me to bring her by so you can meet her?

[ He has determined by now, at least, that the chocobo is a girl, even if the name is still pending. ]

But even if he's chasing down a chocobo, Prompto is one to mind his manners, and he waves to Mrs. Triggleby in the background before turning his attention fully to Alisaie. Gotta impress the girlf's boss!! Which is definitely what he's doing right now with his giant chicken. ]

[ Sizhui is still very new to the whole communication devices thing, but he does try to at least learn about where they are living now. So he's out and about when--

-- a huge bird (probably panicked by too much noise and everything) almost runs into him. At a glance, he doesn't think it's a monster filled with resentment, so the talismans he throws in its direction (so he doesn't get trampled) are ones of containment, creating something like a cage of energy around the creature without harming it.

Then he carefully approaches, peering carefully. ]

What... are you?

[ Yeah, Prompto proooobably could have planned better when picking out where to summon his chocobo, and in hindsight, right in the middle of the street probably wasn't the best place. More than anything, he's worried about losing sight of the bird before he can catch it, and with how chaotic Lunatia tends to be, it's a very real and serious concern.

...But just when he thinks he's about to lose sight of it entirely, some kind of...force field seems to spring up, preventing the chocobo from going any further. This isn't some kind of fancy magical pet impound tech, is it?

Meanwhile, the chocobo only has an uncertain kweh for Sizhui, while Prompto brings up the rear, panting as he draws to a stop. ]

Oh, h-hey there! I see you've met my feathered friend! [ A beat. ] You're not...gonna send it to the pound, are you?

[ What is this wizardry?! It's a weird, yet funny method of summoning monsters... Marie likes it. ]

[ It is the most un-legit kind of wizardry, but the chalk seemed to know what Prompto was going for, even if his artistic skills left something to be desired. If only he had drawn his chocobo as, like, super calm and obedient, or something. ]
