Hello, fellow Moonblessed! This is the Principality Aziraphale and I have a few subjects I'd like to discuss with you, if you have the time to spare.

One is simply a request for good book recommendations, though I'm also curious if anyone has ever run into books here they were familiar with back home?

The other is particularly for those also blessed by the Iris moon... Have you had any trouble with shocking things? And people? My last phase resulted in my being quite affectionate but it's a bit of a hardship trying to cuddle when you keep accidentally shocking your partner.

Writers tend to flock together, in my experience. I don't know how familiar you are with Japanese literature or if you'd recognize their names.

Oh... well, it's a given role to an angel of Heaven. Just using it out of habit now, really, I suppose... Simply put, though, it means I'm a guardian of a place or of a group of people.

I'm an Iris myself and I've never had to deal with shocking people; I guess it just goes to show just how different things are per Moonblessed.

Ah, now that is a clever idea! I'm not sure I'd really be interested in having the ability outside of the Iris moon phase, but managing to keep rubber on hand during that time shouldn't be too difficult.

It's not for everyone! My friend who suggested I keep the magic, he kept his jellyfish tentacles. So it could be anything, really.

Seen a couple people recommend you the library already. That's a good one. There's a few decent secondhand bookstores around Caihong too. Never noticed til I moved to Level 3 last month. I like westerns and old pulps, and I found some damn unique stuff there.

As for shocking things... I'm Sanguis, so I ain't sure if this applies completely, but I spent a good long while learning how to trigger my fire magic. Usually involved sitting by my bath tub, just in case. Point being, it helps to experiment with how to control it on your own, so you do it by accident a lot less.

Ah. Well. That's... Neither here nor there, really. I don't intend to go around shocking people either way, if I can help it.

Admittedly, I'm not sure how well I'd follow that. Might be worth doing some exploring, though.

I'd never thought to putting a purpose to the ability. Do you really think it could be used that way?

Yes! They were the same stories I'd heard... some, at least
But they were written as though they happened here.

Maybe these people had similar tales to share.
I recall the seafolk of my land would often say

I wouldn't be opposed to giving some science tomes a go. Admittedly I do tend to skew to prophecy or fiction, myself.

I don't see why not. Any source of electricity can be harnessed if you have the correct equipment.

Unfortunately, all my magic is good for is skating across the sidewalk instead of walking.

A title in the hierarchy of angels. It's unnecessary to call me such, I'm afraid I'm merely... still using it out of habit.

Some others have mentioned that now and I hadn't considered the ability could be put to a purpose in that way. It may be interesting to test a bit, provided I can perfect my control over it.

...oh. That's why your name had a familiar cadence. It's been some time since I had cause to look up anything about angels in particular, and I would have been at a linguistic disadvantage regardless.

I'd recommend testing it, next month, assuming the effect repeats for you. Then you'll have less cause to worry about hurting anyone by accident. [And she really can't see him hurting anyone deliberately.]

Well, my friend insists he really doesn't mind, that it isn't too bad. But I would certainly prefer the cuddling without worry of... creating sparks, so to speak.

Secondhand bookstores are always quite charming, I may have to go and give those a little look-see. Unique is most certainly my type.

There did seem to be a component that was perhaps tied in to my emotional state of being. Did you find that to be true of your Sanguis fire magic as well?

Sort of depends on your choice of reading. I can hardly picture you reading something grotesque in general. Actually, I'd like to see you read something like that aloud to see if it's doable.

Someone else might read Aziraphale's text as rather bratty, but honestly, Five uses the same kind of tone of text (and voice) so he hardly finds it offensive. ]}

With this too.. it can depend. Some people would.. enjoy being shocked.. and find the hazard exciting in a way.

Maybe get yourself some kind of suit that is an electric deterrent.
Or just not bother cuddling at all.

I've seen Iris people get that kind of electricity thing before...all the moonblessings get a different type of elemental magic, actually. Cordis is ice and Sanguis is fire, so I suppose maybe the moons or moon gods or whatever were covering their bases...

I must say, prophecy is quite the niche subject! You've piqued my curiosity with that one. Is there a particular reason why you are intrigued by it?

As for my creature, yes. Of course, Magneton is a rather unique case. It is physically mechanical and feeds on electricity as nourishment. Allow me to attach a photo of it.
