This is The Knight.

I wish to talk about families.

What is your family like? Do you have siblings? I have many siblings. More siblings than there are moonblessed. One of them is here with me. They are also a knight. They were one long before I was, and they are very good at it.

I have a child. They were not born by mating, as humans do, but by a dance with myself and my friend Grimm. It was part of an important ritual.

My Father is a King. My Mother is a Tree. Also a Queen.

That is all of my family. Please tell me about yours.

Were they much like you?

Not in the slightest.

That Grimm was a serious one. He spoke but little, unless it was in a fight. Those he surrounded himself with were warriors who would balk at the idea of a performance.

No two Grimms burn the same.

It is strange to think of a Grimm acting like that.

I wonder what our child will grow up to be like.

They have good influences. I am not terribly concerned.

Nor are any of my other siblings.

They do. There are many good people in Dirtmouth and Hallownest.

They will be fine. Though it would be pleasant to see them grow ourselves, the important part is that they grow.

Perhaps Hornet will look after them.

She would deny it, but such things come easily to her.

She will be a worthy queen. One cannot rule on strength alone.

Have you paid much notice to the Were Ware shop? They have some interesting merchandise.

What did you find there?

The Ware Wolf shop sells a number of items, but the one that caught my eye was the Super Summonrock Chalk. It allows a person to summon one magical item from their home.

Would the Grimmchild charm qualify, I wonder?

As they were in your care last, perhaps you should be the one to make the purchase? I will cover my share of the cost, of course.

I do not have much I wish to spend Chroma on, anyway.

This, however, is very important.

It would be unfair if I did not contribute. They are our child.

I am sure you have much Chroma, Grimm.

You think too highly of me, I fear. And I have been somewhat reckless with my Chroma usage of late.

You have been buying things for friends? For Lobco?

Not exactly. Have you encountered anyone under a kraken moonblessing lately?

I am not familiar with that moonblessing. What does it do?

[hagrides]

Those under its effects drain Chroma from their moonlacing partner, rather than generate any.

Lobco had to scold me quite severely when she found me in a weakened state.

That sounds like the enemy on Iris.

So, she cursed some of those who fought her then. That is very dangerous.
