[And then he's making a startled squawk of a sound and forgetting entirely anything he planned to do within the next week, scrambling in her direction.]

Konoha??

[Oh, she... Probably should have warned Tanjiro.

At the (squawk) sound of her name and the sight of the young man launching himself in her now barely five foot tall direction, she drops her basket of laundry in surprise (thankfully right side up), hands awkwardly flailing with a flutter of sleeves on a kimono that is now somehow both too short and too large for her at once.]

T- T- Tanjiro, slow down, I can’t catch you right now- !

[Nope, instead he's gonna catch her-- by way of throwing both his arms around her middle and grasping his left at the elbow, scooping her off her feet and spinning, once.]

What happened, you're tiny!!

[He’s going to knock her right over! He’s going to hurt himself trying to lift her! Somehow both of those thoughts run through her head at the same time and she just freezes-

Then it’s all Konoha can do go shriek in a confused excitement as he’s- is she spinning? Is he lifting her?! Her hands cling to the back of his clothes for dear life and when the spin ends she half collapses in the grip of his arms, dirty bare feet hanging limp and momentarily useless soles-up as she stares at him.

Up at him.]

A- Am I? Tanjiro, when did you get so big... ?

[It's not much, but it's enough, and his grin is broader than she's probably seen on him since before she found him covered in days of grime and sadness on the roof of his half-built house.]

I'm actually pretty small, you're just smaller.

[She should probably try and get up, but her knees are feeling really weak and is she dizzy? It’s easier to just cling to him for a second, eyes wide and face flushed, her bun a bit in disarray.]

No, I’m not-

[She protests automatically, but-]

... Oh, I am...

[Curiously, she flexes and bends her knees to pull her legs off the ground completely. He can lift her now???]

[He laughs at that, walking in a slower circle this time.] What happened?

[Oh, right, she still hasn’t answered- ! She almost takes a hand off him to smack her own forehead with but then they’re spinning again, slower this time, and she keeps her tight grip instead, legs still bent back up off the ground and very confused by the sensation of the tops of grass stems brushing her knees.]

The- It was tea! I had some of that tea from the shop in the city, and when I woke up my legs were all human!

[Er, well, all of her was human, but. You get it!

Should she really be hanging off him like this? She’s a wife, and older than him! But it’s times like these that it’s easy remember, despite how motherly she acts at times, that she wasn’t that much older than him... And it was fun, a little bit. Being tiny for a while.]

Tea?? Gosh, I guess we better be careful... But it's nice to have you compact! I'm never taller than you.

[He smiles and leans forward to get her to stand on her own again.]

I really should have known better...

[Though it comes with a little sigh at herself... she isn’t actually that upset, even as she reluctantly puts her bare feet back under her properly and tries to remember how to stand straight.]

That kind of weird food stuff is almost always just a prank or something, I’m sure it won’t last long, though...

[She wobbles, instinctively attempting to arch her back the way she did as a jinba but she catches herself before any actual upset, arms spread out a bit for balance.]

[He keeps his good arm out to catch her if needed, grinning crookedly.]

It must be weird to have to balance like a human. We're kind of awkward...

N- No, it’s fine! Humans aren’t awkward... I just really thought it would be easier since I grew up surrounded by them...

[But turns out knowing how they move from watching and trying to do it yourself was two entirely separate things.]

I guess I do need to get shoes, though, if this lasts longer than a day...

[Dirty bare toes wriggle in the grass.]

[He laughs, shaking his head.] I mean, we're definitely awkward, too. All... straight up on two wobbly legs with weird centers of gravity... Also feet. Human feet are weird.

Th- They’re weird?

[As if slightly scandalized now that her feet might be weird, Konoha tries to lift one, wriggling her toes and revealing now absolutely dirty soles from walking around and doing her usual farm work.]

I thought they were okay... for humans anyway...

[She much prefers hooves herself, but...]

They’re just really tender...

[Another laugh, and he nods.]

They're pretty weird. Paws, hooves? Those make sense. Feet are weird and flat and toes are stubby and useless and it's just... Weird. [An anti-foot person, apparently.]

Are they always so cold... ?

[Now she's confused, someone else told her toes were useful for balancing... Who is right?!]

Feet? I mean, they're the farthest from your heart, so they can get pretty cold, yeah... But if your hands and feet are super cold all the time it's usually a condition? Poor circulation, or anemia, from what I've read.

[Tanjiro with the internet is terrifying, actually.]

E- Eh? A condition?! Do- Do my feet feel cold to you?

[Don't quote WebMD at a jinba-temporarily-turned-human??? Concerned, she lifts up a foot to try and grab it in her hands to feel if it was cold to the touch and not just her being sensitive to temperature because she's used to having rather unfeeling hooves, but-

Nope, just toppling backwards.]

[He sees that coming, reaching for her as she teeters and trying to pull her back to balance. He probably topples right over with her.]

[So this is what it feels like to be two humans tumbling to the ground? She will savor the new experience-

Even though it comes with a yelp and a tangle of limbs and flailing and their heads knocking together before she ends up flat on her back on the ground.]

[It's not that she minds him landing atop her, there's nothing to be embarassed about there, with their relationship, but...]

When did you get so heavy... ?

[He rolls off her pretty quickly, at least, but he has to laugh at her question, sprawled on the ground.]

Rude!! I'm not any heavier than I was before I don't think, You just don't have your crazy jinba strength.

It still means you're heavy now... !

[Even if it was her side of things, okay??? But she wriggles onto her side from her back, moving to try and shove a dirty-soled foot at him.]

But quick-- Tanjiro, help! Are my feet too cold? Is it normal cold? The weird teas here wouldn't make me a human with a sickness, would it?

[He laughs, taking her foot in his good hand and wiggling it.]

You're probably fine, Konoha. It's November, and you're outside barefoot, your feet are gonna be cold.

[Oh, no... what is this sensation??? Konoha slaps her hands over her mouth as a sudden laugh spits out past her attempt to keep it in, squirming as she tries to connect... the ability to be ticklish... with her foot, which shouldn’t be able to do that if it were a proper hoof???]

D- D- Do you think I’ll be human long enough to need shoes? I really don’t want to be, but they’re all c- cold! And I need to do field work... !

[He shifts to pick up one of his feet and set it against hers, humming.]

My feet are bigger than yours, but I could loan you a pair if you wanted. Just for now?
