[ not that konoha would know it, but peggy's replies are bit more personable—a bit more forthcoming—than they'd ordinarily be. mostly because she doesn't want to confound the woman's attempts to learn the written word with any sort of backwards, borderline-cryptic conversation.

therefore, she makes an effort to be clear and natural. she makes an effort to model the sort of good, friendly language she believes konoha would most like to use. ]

And while I was one of the spectators at the arena, I handled myself. Still, it was a rather disconcerting turn of events. Just as well you avoided it.

Although given what I can glean of the jinba's hardiness based on your husband's description, I imagine you would also have handled the situation.
