like stuff they never told you
would that be a deal breaker if they ever came up

or what if there was something you wanted to tell someone but weren't really sure how to go about doing it

Haha, well, it's White Day today, so it's a good day for questions about love and dating!

Anyway, I'm someone with a couple of secrets, and I've been someone who's had to try to figure out how to tell those secrets to the people I care about, so I guess I can talk about that with some experience.

For me...when I can get away with ignoring it, I usually do. At least at first, because my secrets are the kind of secrets that it'd be pretty hard to guess without me drawing attention to them. And...honestly? I don't want people to think differently about me because of them, at least not until they've had the chance to get to know me.

But once they do? I try to tell them. And there's really no easy way to lead into my secrets gently, so...up front is pretty much the only way I can do it, haha.

Secrets will be shared when the time is right. If they don't want to share, that's fine. If they're someone you care about it shouldn't matter.

As for telling someone something, I guess it depends on what it is and what it would do if shared.

As for swords, I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I know how to use them.

Guess it depends on the secret? [Reno's not much for typing if he can avoid it, too much work.] Are we talking "I masturbate into your shirt" secrets? Or are we talking about "you know me as Mark, but I'm really Steve and I have this life you know nothing about and expect you to drop everything to accommodate my Steve life even though you're invested in the Mark life" secret?

On the whole, I don't think secrets are a problem [he wouldn't] you can never know absolutely everything about a person and some things you probably don't want to know. Like if someone masturbated into my shirt for example, just wash it, dry it, fold it and put it away so that I'm none the wiser and we're both happier not knowing and not telling.

[He shrugs his shoulders as if it's not a big deal and it isn't in his opinion.]

If I had something to say to someone I'd just say it, but that's because I don't see the point in ignoring it. You could always hope for the best later.

I'm gonna say it's neither of those just 'cause it sounds like you've got an awful lot of experience with the whole shirt thing, and I don't wanna rain on your parade. [ Is he frowning? Oops. ] Anyway, it's more like... a life secret? Super tragic backstory 101 that you have to be a certain level to unlock, but when you finally get there, you're not sure you want to know.

And I'm not sayin' I wanna know everything or I expect anybody else to want to know everything either. [ What is he saying? He actually has no idea. ] I dunno. It's pretty complicated. Maybe it's just better to take it as it is and go with it?

Secrets can be frustrating to deal with but I think it's also pretty common to have at least a secret or two you keep from your partner.

I guess it just depends in the end.

But if there's something you definitely want to tell someone else then you should just say it. I wouldn't try to ignore something if you're looking at it as a "hope for the best" sort of thing.

i guess it just makes you wonder what makes somebody decide to tell certain things over other stuff
especially when you usually don't know a whole lot about any of it in the first place

I'd expect them to tell it to me.
And if it was me, I'd sit them down and talk about it. No matter how difficult it is.

There are little secrets like things you've done in your past and there are bigger ones that will change how they might see you or feel about you. If you're asking this question you know what kind it is and if it's important or not to talk about it.

But that's just me. I don't make it a secret that I'd need honesty and trust above all else and my definitions are more stringent than some.

i've had to deal with stuff like this before
it's never easy and after a point it just seems like you shouldn't bother too much
